Mango and Coconut Protein Smoothie
The perfect tropical, protein-rich snack for summer.
Recipe
This vegan protein smoothie is perfect for hot summer days, when you’re looking for something tropical, thirst quenching, and with a protein boost. You can even reduce the amount of liquid in this mango coconut smoothie to create a sorbet or ice-cream texture.
Ingredients
- 1/2 C Frozen mango
- 1 serve (30g) Roam Vanilla Protein Powder
- Water or almond milk
- 2 tablespoons coconut chips or thread
Optional add-ons:
- 1/4 C egg whites for an extra protein boost
- 1 tablespoon cashews for good fats and extra creaminess
Method
Blitz until combined. You may need to blitz for longer if you prefer a smoother texture with the coconut. If you don't feel like a smoothie, you can reduce the amount of liquid to make the mixture into a ‘nice cream’. Top with some coconut chips or thread, or cashews.
If you really like the coconut flavour, try substituting some of the water or milk for coconut milk.
